Without a lot of work involving air cleaner mods/removal/relocation and/or long 3/4" aeroquip hoses, I don't see mounting a dual-gard system on your 94 convertible.
Use an SDF57 full flow oil filter in the stock location (small one, easily installed...the SDF42 also fits/OEM size, but can be difficult to remove once you install the lines for the Amsoil bypass oil filter....
...Which can be installed on the passenger side wheel well arch. You'll need a few feet of aeroquip kevlar hoses (the stock amsoil hoses, sorry, won't IMHO last as long..) I don't recommend stainless steel braided because they chew through anything they touch and they're a hassle to run/mount/use the right rubber-lined clamps. I've used the same spin on bypass oil filter since they became available in what, 1984, on my 84 900T and moved the lines and filter to my 87 900T when the 84 was totalled.
While the amsoil synthetic and the filter/bypass filter are great and will do a lot towards long engine life, a few more things might be worth considering, especially on a car that may not get a lot of operation time.
1. Electric pre-oiler and/or accumulator. This device, figure around $400 or so, uses a separate electric oil pump and high pressure accumulator/bladder to bring up oil pressure BEFORE you start the engine. Seems a large percentage of engine wear comes with startup. There are large marine diesels that also use preoilers (well, they also use preheaters for engine oil/lubrication, but that's probably overkill!) and they work well.
2. A preoiler can also double as a post-shutdown turbo cooler...it will keep engine oil circulating for X minutes or until turbo bearings cool down. However, I think this is overkill...I've not had any turbo problems with an oil-cooled turbo (and yours is watercooled too!) with amsoil. My volvos with water-cooled turbos have had zero problems too...one with +100K on it and the other with over 240K miles on it.
3. I prefer amsoil 15W-40 marine synthetic oil...it's the least expensive synthetic that meets my volvo engine requirements plus it has an additive/anti corrosion package optimized for marine use, low temperature infrequent use. I change it every 10K miles on the high mileage engines and it works well. On the 900T saab, OTOH, I use the Series 2000 0W-30 oil and the car uses essentially zero oil in 10K oil changes since the motor was overhauled about 40k miles ago.
I don't know if the 94 CE convertible will ever be as much a classic as people imagine it will be...it's a nice car but so is a 57 Bel Air convertible or a 76 Eldo...see the interesting prices on the Palm Beach auction. To each his own and hope you enjoy the Spring!
