'94 Convertible.
Hiya.
There are a couple of small hooks in the trunk that are short elaticized fabric things. What are they for?
Also, got new remotes and new chip set from BRI and it was cake to get the factory Alpine alarm up and running again. Swap the chip in the brain, insert battery and chips in remotes and voila, car alarm!
Quesion: there is a double dip switch in the alarm and the cover indicates that if both are set to 1, then the alarm is in manual mode and if they are both set to 2, then the alarm is in auto mode. Auto mode sets the alarm by itself after 20-30 seconds, but it does not lock the doors. Any way to get that to happen too? Also, if one of the dip switches is set to 1 and the other is set to two, do those alternate settings do anything? I was unable to observe anything in particular.
I was pleased to see that the alarm includes a starter kill!
