I have an 86 900S with 94k miles, which has run perfectly for 4 years. However, little things go wrong, as they always do.
Recently, I replaced my front passenger headlight, and now I noticed that my rear passenger tailights are acting weird. I checked the fuses and replaced the bulbs, but now I get a power drain from the various lights, and some flickering, when I combine lights.
For example, when I have the lights on, and I press the brake, the power drains up to the top lights, so that the red tail lights are no longer illuminated (very little power goes to them), but instead the reverse light and turn signal light light up (without flashing). When I release the brake, the power goes back to the bottom red tail lights.
Also, using the turn signal with the lights on drains power so that on every flash, the tail lights lose power, and flicker in reverse sync with the turn signal flashing.
P.S. the center brake light, front lights, and rear driver's tailight all work fine.
When I take out the light assembly, I can see there is a little power in all bulbs when the various lights are on, but using other lights in combination (such as the above), drains most of the power.
I'm pretty sure I will need to get this fixed in order to pass inspection. Any help is much appreciated! thanks!
