Good to see you back on the net.

My 2 cents regarding stereo is to go with speakers in the doors, kicks or under dash. I'd go with 5 1/4" at least. The 4 inch things in the dash just are not big enough to provide anything resembling hi-fi, and the position reflecting off the windshield is not optimal. I've tried several brands of 4" speakers over the years with small difference in sound quality. 5 1/4" seperates in the doors filled the front stage nicely.

Even if you go whole-hog with all new gear you don't have to have enormous woofs to get great sound (In fact one of my neighbors' kids is looking at a severely reduced life expectancy if he keeps up the habit of playing his system loud enough to rattle the windows). Of course you can spend big $$'s if you want, but not req'd.
