Well, as I said, RS, if I'm going to replace the radio, I'm going to replace the speakers, too, so I might as well start with the speakers (cheap fix) first. We'll see what happens.
I can already see myself getting into this, noting a big improvement when I replace the fronts, figuring might as well go for new 6x9's in back, then replacing the radio, then saying, well, I've gone this far, time for an amp and subwoofer... and then before you know it, I'll have a Justin HiFi-mobile booming around town.
Fortunately, I do have a powerful restraining device -- my wife -- who may be able to stop me before I go insane on audio upgrades. But I know it's going to be hard to stop once I start. There's just something about messing with that car that's so infectious!
Beastie is not an SPG. It's a platinum metallic blue '87 900T. It got third place for modified Saabs at the show in Vero Beach last summer, and for awhile it was parked out by the SPG9 tent so that people could see some upgrades I installed. I keep the engine compartment fairly clean, but it's not like some of those show cars with painted pipes, colored vac lines, and lots of under-the-hood chrome. The only really obvious mods are the RRFPR and AID -- you can't tell by a photo that it has other goodies like oversized injectors, redbox APC, different wastegate controller, upgraded hooter, etc. From the outside it looks stock apart from the 16" wheels and low profile tires. If you can post your pic, I'll let you know if it's my car or not.
