I bought this 91 Convertible about a month ago.. I have always wanted a Saab convertible but have cringed at the thought of throwing to much money in to make it a daily driver. I made this my second "fair weather" car so I don't drive it too much.
The convertible top opens and closes very smoothly, but I am thinking I need to lube the joints of the top, as well as replace the hydraulic fluid. Where is the reservoir for the pump? How do I access it? Is there a drain valve for it, or do I evacuate it with a pump? What kind of oil is recommended for these things? I assume that I would pull the old fluid out, replace with new, run the action a couple times and then replace again.

What should I use to wet the many, many joints of the top frame? They look pretty dry, and when I drop the top, it sort of snaps back at that joint in the middle of the side window so I want to make sure everything is as low stress on the old pump and cylinders as possible.

Any feedback or information would be greatly appreciated!
