I was having the same problems as you are, it last for the past 2 years easily. It would go up and stick at 2,000 rpms. Then sometimes while playing with the peddle it would drop back down and sometimes it would not. I clean the AIC Valve every 3 months cause it would help but, the fix needed more and I knew all along what it was because when it did this, I'd open the hood and tap it with the handle end of a secredriver and it would settle down where it belongs. I finally got around to ordering one from thesaabsite.com last week for $138.00 and installed it yesterday. That problem along with another I was having which was when on the highway and in 4th or sth gear, whenever the tachometer would be sitting/holding right at 3,000 rpms the car would have a surge that I could feel. The VDO and stock boost gauge showed this as the neddle would go back and forth within vacumn +/- 2 psi. I also noticed that the car now pulls more vacumn when you get off the throttle. Before it would be like 22-23 hg and now it's pulling like 25-26hg. The above(2)problems have went away but, the car has stalled on me 2 times since the replacement so, perhaps something else needs replacing as well. I'll get there soon but, at least I killed 2 birds with the same stone(AIC VALVE)......
Hope this helps, Phil
