The first time I do this on a car with problems the idle always goes high. This is because people have adjusted the idle to compensate for the AIC in the past. Give it a day or so to see if it drops back to normal. If no change look at the idle adjustment screw. The screw(head) should stick out about 1/32 of an inch from the nut. If they are level the idle has been adjusted. Set the idle down to 800 or 900 and drive it for a few days to see if after the usual warm up hunt it settles back to 800 or 900. Did you clean the throttle plate as well as the AIC. Lastly certain types of throttle body cleaner are hard on the O2 sensor and could cause it to fail.
