I've had the same problem with the reverse pop so I dug into the Bentley's not too long ago and found in their troubleshooting section that the popping could be attributed to the guide pin on the rear caliper. Recommended actions are to replace the guide pin or the entire caliper.
I just finished up replaceing my inner driver and tripod bear and haven't goten into this problem yet, but, if you have a Bentley's look in the rear caliper section.
