In may case, pulled motor, scrubbed/soaked with PB Blaster (or other rust penetrant), lubed/coated with grease (whatever you've got, I used left-over trailer bearing grease w teflon). Removed/did same with regulator (aka window driver mechanism). Make sure you squirt some reg oil in the regulator pivots as well since grease wont penetrate well into the joint by itself.
Also consider dissassembling window switches in the center console, polish the internal contacts with a pink eraser. In my case the prob was just rusty regulator, though.
