Make sure that ALL pieces come back out through the throttle body as they can destroy a turbo. Use a coat hanger and a vacuum if necessary. I just did this a year ago on an '84. They were hard as rocks. If the fittings are hard, you do still have a vacuum leak(s). Make sure you look at the PCV fitting and the brake booster fittings/grommets/hose.
