I'd make sure the vacume check valve is operating properly too. Does the car hold vacume overnight? Press pedal in morning while starting car, if it goes down you have a bad check valve or a leak in the diaphram. Does the pedal have a "jump" or "bind" to it right as you hear the swoosh? Mine kind of felt a little hard to push down just before the swoosh, it was a bad booster. I took the cheap route and got one from a salvage yard. The problem may not show up at idle as the vacume leval will be higher than while driving.
