On my 88 900 8v 3spd auto there were 2 hoses disconnected. One at the "T" behind the dash and the other at the vacuum pump. After connecting them the first time...I got nothing so I switched nipples at the pump and voila...I have cruise.

During the test drive, I clicked the the cruise switch over and the speed was "held," but it slowly accelerated. Starting at 50mph it crept up to over 70mph. When I pressed held the spring loaded button on the end of the stalk the speed would drop by about 5 mph increments, but then start to creep back up.

In Reply to: Weird CC issue............................, walter, Thu, 24 Jan 2002 09:52:56 this also happens if you replace the old style arm with a new one (all old ones are discontinued). You must modify the CC via instruction at townsend website. I think it requires jumping the existing relay. if yours is the original, then the set switch is toast or maybe sticking."

I do in fact have a new stalk and here is the addy for those who need it:
