How did it work out for you? Hope well. I changed the one in my convertible out this weekend in under 2 hours. My third time.
Anyway I put some Wurth rubber care on my new dash. I read about this in an issue of Nines last year. The guy who wrote the column said they used it in their shop on rubber door seals and such then started wetting the dashes down with it. Said they didn't have a regular customer with a cracked dash that they used it on.
I found it at dccarcare.com It's only a few $$ a bottle. It works great on the door seals and any trim peices that are stained white by wax/polish. It's not greasy either.
I use vasaline on the other 900's dash. It works ok but...it's greasy and I'm starting to get some small cracks...it's been in the car for 2 years.
