I'am looking for my first car and have settled on a classic 900, I finally found a 1991 900s 3dr hatchback with a 100k miles. It has just recieved a new re-built engine with 59k on it. The only catch, which is holding me back from this car is that it has a non re-built automatic transmission in it.
After buying a car I don't believe I could shell out $2500 on a 16 year old's budget for a rebuild and a conversion to manual. Its just not feasable!
The car is in great condition and in my budget, hence my difficult time in letting it go. It would be great if you could get me out of this pickle.
Does anyone know of a good Saab mechanic located around Attleboro Mass. that could check out the car?
