if you are willing to pay to have the head taken off then milling the exhaust side is reasonble, even suggested. as is milling the manifold. fi you want to keep the car for a while use this as a preventative head gasket/valve job. otherwise it is still kind of a big job and you don't get the marginal returns for labor saved over the long run. after the manifold and turbo are off it is only a couple of minutes to pop the head off. little more to put them back :). copper gaskets are the way to go with freshly milled exhaust pieces. i guarantee it. but, pulling the head will add 800 by the time you are all done with everything. still not a bad investment if it is additional cost only. you could DIY on a exhaust manifold for gasket only ( stock gasket) unless studs are broken in head ( vs exposed) it'll quiet it down for a while and cost hardly anything.
