Identify these parts?? (not a quiz, seeking help)

In searching out the cause for a high idle, i have a few questions (numbers refer to numbers in the photo, please click on link below):
1+2) the Y shaped valve circled at #1 is loose and when the hose which connnects to it (#2) is squeezed tightly it causes the RPMs to go down. Is this supposed to happen or is this the source of a leak in my "vacuum system" which would cause the high idle? Also, can you tell me what this hose does and/or is connected to? Is there any way to tighten the "Y-valve" circled?
3) In looking for my TPS, i thought it would be directly behind the throttle cable shown in #3, can somebody please show me on the picture where the TPS is located?
4) In attempting to clean the car of all the dirt under the hood, i undid the clamp which connects the air filter casing to the AMM (#4, am i correct in thinking that piece is the AMM?). There is an O-ring in there which is broken, so i replaced it as best i can until i can get a replacement... could this be the source of an add'l leak in the system which is creating my high idle, since the broken O-ring won't give me a perfect seal?
Thanks!
(i love this site)
