I give them (the shop) a B-.

I've always had quality work done, but not without $100-$200 of odd discretionary charges, such as a 1 year old battery needing to be replaced "cuz it's dead, so we put a new one in". Don't try to lump any other "while you're there" repairs onto big jobs either because they still charge book time regardless. I won't be using them again since my most recent discovery of questionable service. They did a $65 "performance tune" on my SPG which is supposed to entail a wastegate verification and adjustment as well as tweaking the pots on the APC. This past weekend I pulled my APC to check and do the red box tweak and nothing has ever been touched - the sealant on the pots is oem and all readings still stock. That was one too many curiosities for me.

No offence to ETS, I'm glad he's so confident in them. I wanted to provide an alternate viewpoint. You should try them, but know what you want and what it takes to get there. I now believe that the more you know about your car and Saab repairs, the safer you are with Andrews. If they warrenty the tranny go for it. If it was practice for a new hire, stay away.
