Hi,
I had my fuel pre-pump replaced the other day - '87 900T. After driving around a couple times later that day, I noticed that on ignition, the car would take longer and longer to fire-up. Finally, about the 5th time I turned on the car: nothing, no start up, still had electricity though. Seems like a failure of the starter?
I got a jump, and was able to start the car that way, but now need a jump to start.
So my question (finally), is it possible that something done by my mechanic could have somehow damaged or disconnected my starter? I wouldn't think that there is any sort of link between fuel pre-pumps and starters, but I'm not exactly the best car guy. Any thoughts would be helpful as I intend to bring this up with the mechanic on Monday.
