Well, if you want to take the risk of owning a 15 year old old SAAB as your only means of transportation, then using a sight unseen, no recourse auction run by strangers does not make your chances better. Use the search box to find e-bay stories on these boards. Used cars are not like Pez dispensers or collectible Elvis commemorative plates. I don't like your financially suicidal thought process and although its not my responsibility to save you from themself, you did ask, so....

Since you would have to travel to somewhere to pick up your e-bay purchase, why not buy from someone that uses saabnet classifieds. At least you improve your odds of getting a better car, and the past ads will give you a fairer idea of pricing and condition.

What worries me is that you may purchase a sight unseen clapped out car that exhausts your cash reserves at the start and then the repairs will eat you alive. You will then dump it a couple of months from now and get a used Accura Integra and spend the rest of your life telling everyone how unreliable SAABs are.

Now hike up your pants, tuck in your shirt, turn your baseball cap around and go get a Hondayotazukihunwoobishi dealer and don't depend on an old project car to go to work. Unless you live near a train or have unlimited access to Dad's credit cards.
