Parking Brake Adjustment Question Posted by Randy Thatcher [Email] (#22) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Randy Thatcher) on Sat, 25 May 2002 18:15:49 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I've got the center console up from a seat belt receptacle swap, and I thought it would make sense to adjust the parking brake while I'm in there. So I sit on the lawn chair, sip my drink, open the Bible (bentley) and read about adustments on the calipers... The brakes work, I just have to pull the handle up quite a bit. I'm thinking I can just adjust the thing on the lever side, not the caliper side, but the Bentley doesn't say anything about adjusting that side. are the adustments on the handle side for tightening up loose cables (like bicycle brakes, etc.) and the caliper side when the brake is worn down a bit? I'm going to go back out and tighten up the handle side. I guess there's a 50/50 chance I get it wrong and I'll be tearing it back open...
