Here is my dilemma all of you great Saab experts. I have a 92 900S automatic convertible with a 197K miles.I have a wet drivers side floor! My car will when cold keep the coolant in it and drive fine for approx 20 minutes or so as long as no stop and go traffic. But then the temp gauge goes to about three quarters up. My query is this: After posing this question with 2 mechanics via the phone they came up with divergent potential problems for my car. One said it is either the the heater coil/valve/hose, the other said you will most likely have to replace your head gasket. What gives? Who is more likely to be able to fix my pride and joy and a t what price point will the be? Furthermore, one of the mechanics said with that many miles you should maybe think about getting another engine off a used 900 saab. The car is great shape inside and out. But this sounds like a very expensive and problematic engine situation. Forgive my neophtye saab engine knowledge, but that is why I thought I would ask the experts.
Thank you so much for any and all input
Mike
