I ran through a bunch of tests in the bently, and as far as i can tell now, i have strong spark. I have ruled the possibility of an ignition problem out. Im fairly convinced i have a fuel problem.
I attempted to read the check engine fault codes from the controll unit, but i never got it working even though i follwed the bently instructions exactly. Next i checked the voltage signal at the fuel injectors. I took injector #3's harness off and hooked up a multimeter, i started the car and it ran good like it always does after sitting for an hour or two. I let it idle and i had a fluctuating reading between .400 volts to .500 volts, normal according to bently. I left it hooked up and running anticipating an upcoming problem, well at about the usual time it stops running the voltage read out at the injector dropped to .020-.040, about 1 second later, the engine began running incredibly rough and stalled 1.5 seconds later. The normal even i have been dealing with.

This is a very interesting experiment and im not sure what it means. Why do i only experiance problems after it runs for about 5 min. Does it have something to do with going from closed loop to open loop? thats all i can gather. im left wondering if maybe im dealing with a serious O2 sensor problem. And that once it reaches 600degrees and the ECU begins using its signal rather than the pre-programed values the O2 sensor says the engine is too rich and the ECU severly cuts voltage to the injectors.

what to make of it all??
thanks
