My friend has an '85 900 turbo, and installed a cd player, speakers, amplifier and subwoofers on his own, as a result, his cd player blinks off an on, and when his subs boom, his headlights dim, about a month after he did this, he had to have his alternator, battery, and voltate regulator replaced, and his radio fuse blows all the time.
Now, My '86 SPG has a very nice Pioneer CD player that was proffesionally installed, and a few days ago I bought a set of Pioneer 6x9 2-way rear speakers, and installed them as the directions read and I haven't had a single problem, in fact, it all works perfect. I was thinking about having a smaller watt amplifier and subwoofer installed (profesionally)But I am afraid that it might mess the car up like my buddys. What are your opinions? Anyone have any expereince with this kind of stuff? My '86 spg doesnt have any electrical problems.
-Thanks a lot!
