The car runs hot immediately.Radiator cap good.No visible leaks in hoses, hoses get hot so I think the fluid is circulating.The drivers side fan does not go on (when should it be on) the passenger side fan comes on when I shut the car off ( is this normal). The fuses are all good. I removed the rubber boots from the thermoswitch to bypass using a screwdriver and the fans did not come on with the ignition switch in the on position. Naturally want to do small inexpensive repairs first if possible. What do you guys suggest to do first.

Thermostat reccomendations,preferred temp & model..and any concerns before replacing...fluid already out of system.Thermoswitch,cost/model suggested removal and replacement process.Getting a voltage meter this morning to check for voltage between the green/ground wires at the thermoswitch. The cooling fan relay...how can I test it/cost to replace/reccommended model or I have an 88 Turbo 5 speed-can I pull the relay from the fuse box and put into the 86 notchback just to test w/o blowing something up??? All help is greatly appreciated as always...anybody want free rear hatchback windows/front grill w/o cracks from 86 900/and an 87 altenator?
