Good afternoon all:
I spent most of the day working on my radiator fan problem yesterday and still could not solve the problem. So, maybe someone can help me solve this problem. Here is what I have troubleshooted so far:
1. fuse 25 is blowing when I disconnect the two wires from the thermo switch in the upper left corner of the radiator and jump them together.
2. I tried disconnecting several items to determine what could be causing the fuse to blow.
3. I removed the following to try and find the problem:
disconnected the right and left fan connection--fuse blows when jumping two wires from thermo switch that connects to radiator.
took all of relays out of relay box and fuse still blows.
disconnected wire to air conditioner compressor
removed the relay to the fan switch (left fender) also tried a new relay and the fuse still blows.
disconnected the wires to the air recirculation solenoid-fuse still blows.
disconnected wires from Receiver/drier shell (front right fender)
Can anyone suggest another way of troubleshooting this problem? I'm getting voltage to the thermo switch. The problem is fuse 25 keeps blowing. My email address is gchi@loc.gov if you want reply directly. Many thanks. george.
