Wifes' 90S dead on the roadside, no start condition

Wifey was cruising from NC up to OHIO on business. Our 90S died and coasted down an exit ramp.
Gas gage says 1/2 tank. After short rest, car cranked up and ran for 30 seconds, then died. Later, restarted but ran only 5 seconds. Continues to crank but refuses to start or stay running.
Doesn't sound electrical to me (normal 1 or 0), so I guess fuel system.
Is there a low oil pressure switch to cutout the fuel pump on the S model?
Don't have my Bentley at work so I am guessing here. Need to packup a care package for my 150 mile repair run. Spare fuel pump? Jumper wire to "hardwire" fuel pump on? Is there a good hot wire under the back seat for this purpose or must it come from the fuse box backwards? FWIW new fuel pump in 2000 and filter about 3 mo. ago. Tried to add a gallon of fuel, still no dice.
Educated guesses, please.
