Key won't turn, melting coolant line, exhaust = better?

I haven't posted in awhile...but I need some help
I have a couple of questions, but first I wanna brag a little bit. I got my '86 900s back in November. I finally got new front brake calipers to replace my busted ones. I also sprang and got a Turbo exhaust.
I haven't noticed a big difference in power with the new exhaust (I also do have a cold-air intake). Does it really make that much of a difference, or did I just waste $370 to make my car's exhaust rumble?
Now on to the real concerns:
I was leaving a dek hockey game and I was running late for work. I put my key in the keyhole and it wouldn't turn. The key physically wouldn't turn one bit. It's happened before, but usually just for a second. I spent 15 minutes trying to get it to turn. Is this a common problem? fixes?
Next, It seems that my a/c line fitting is melting through one of my coolant lines (the one on top to the heater matrix). I'm not sure if it's always been like this, or if this is a new 'feature' for the summer :P I'm pretty concerned, but even with a replacement, how would I stop it from happening again. Sidenote: my a/c is inoperative 'till I get some freon in it.
I forgot most of the other stuff that I wanted to ask you Saab guru's out there, but there will me more to come when I remember. I love this site and thank you all who help others with their problems. We all appreciate it alot.
