Without an actual turbo engine to go with that cold air intake and exhaust system, you won't get performance results. A non turbo car isn't effected by cooler air intake the way a turbo is. Has to do with combustion chamber temps under the pressurized turbocharged condition as opposed to a non-pressurized condition.
Can't say for sure about the key. It may have some dirt or a piece of grit in there? If that happened to me I'd attempt to flush it out with WD40, solvent, compressed air, graphite ignition lubricant.
Re hose: you could either loosen the heater hose clamp and twist the hose in a way so as to be seperate from the AC hose fitting. Since your AC is inoperable, you could also loosen the AC compressor fitting on the offending AC hose and twist it out of the way. You'll need a 24 mm open end wrench and some leverage to do that. (lessee, if 19mm is the near equivalent to 3/4" and 22mm is 7/8, 24mm may be the near equivalent of 1") Or just stick some sort of rubber spacer between the two at the friction point.
