Don't have all the answers, but I hope these help:
1) Though I haven't done it myself, I'm fairly certain you don't need to pull the entire axle to get at the outer CV joints.
2) There's a lot of talk on three vs. two vs. four wire o2 sensors. All you need to know is, if your check engine light isn't on, it's working just fine.
3) The 82 on the thermostat is the celsius temperature at which it opens up fully. Combined with an 82C thermoswitch for the second radiator fan, this is the simplest and best way to cool the engine. Your other option is an 87C thermostat, which should work fine, but I've found if you live in an area that gets hot (75+F) for more than a month, or you sit in city traffic a lot, or both, the low temp stat/switch goes a long way to assuaging worry about the temp needle creeping towards the red.
4) sorry, don't know squat about A/C units.
Hope that helps,
Bry M.
