my second SPG a black '89 with 130K. It had a number of issues that i've dealt with already. The entire cooling system from heater valve to radiator, steering rack, hoses, reservoir, entire clutch system. Eventually i'll do the brakes, suspension, and I am in the process of retofitting the passive seat belts to the three point.
It's a nice car but for $3,500 there are bound to be more issues. If it were perfect it wouldn't be selling for $3,500. The way I view it these cars car rare and they can be fixed to be made nice, real nice. It's different than my '86 but similar. I like the fact that it has the upgraded brakes but still no abs. I don't care for the passive seat belt system so its coming out. I thought the fuel cut off programmed into the ecu was going to be a problem but I haven't really hit it yet and I have a SPG9 stage 2 red apc box. I would say go for it as long as it doesn't have significant body damage.
