Please Help -- Where is the Turbo Bypass Valve?

Thanks to the amazing information available on this BBS, I think I've got a likely suspect for my '86 SPG's stalling problem which happens when I come to a stop sign an push in the clutch: the turbo bypass valve. I know about the diagnostic test. I don't have any experience fixing Saabs, but replacing the valve doesn't sound too daunting. Only one problem; I can't find the stupid thing. I looked at the diagram in my owner's manual, but I couldn't find anything that corresponded to it. Do I have to get under the car? Do I have to take apart some hoses? I know these are stupid questions, but I really want to avoid a mechanic with such an old car.
Also, I think thesaabsite.com sells a replacement valve for $26. Any reason why I would necessarily want to stay away from this and go for a more expensive one?
