my 88 9kt turbo has been doing the same thing but usually not quite stalling. I picked up some throttle body cleaner. (not carb cleaner it can be too strong) and took off the intake hose to the throttle body. Sprayed in there and cleaned off the throttle body and the plate. Then took off the AIC valve and sprayed in the open holes that the hoses connect to.
