Replace the head gasket?

I am currently in the middle of some Saab maintenance. I am replacing the front main seal, waterpump, oil ring oil-seal, putting on new belts, flushed the coolant (going to go with MB coolant). So my question is with all this stuff apart should I do the head gasket? The car is a '91 2.1L with 152,000 miles, and the head gasket was replaced at 100,000 miles by the PO. However, since then it overheated when the coolant resevoir developed a crack and dumped all the coolant (I have no more details, as this was the PO too).
There seems to be some oil leaking from between the head and block (is this possible?) but compression test done ~6 mos. ago was good (all cylinders +/- 5 psi) amd I don't seem to be loosing any coolant (well a very slight drop in the resevoir over 15,000 miles). So, basically should I do the gasket as preventative maintenance (and try to repair any pitting on the block as 2.1L are famous for), or trust the "if it ain't broke don't fix it"?
Thanks for reading all of this.
Jeff
