Cooling Fan Fuse

Fuse #25 keeps blowing on my 93 900S when the A/C is on. This fuse is for the Radiatorcolling fan, not the A/C cooling Fan. Started happening after I attempted to do the dual fan conversion with either the wrong type relay or with the a dead correct type relay. Restored system to original wiring and fuse still blows. Note that the A/C fan continues to work but the compressor and radiator fan stop operating after about 20 minutes and when fuse #25 goes. So I disconnected the A/C compressor but switched the A/C on and the fans work fine for hours on end, no blown fuse. I studied the wiring diagram and tested the A/C relay and both cooling fan relays. They all work correctly. I checked the fans for resistance and they both read zero. I have no accurate means of checking the current draw on the fans but both motors feel OK. I just put a new head gasket in the car and replaced the thermoswitch with an 82 degree one. I checked the fuse block on the left fender (main one) because I had it open when I did the dual fan modification and don't find any shorts in the A/C related wiring. Does fuse #25 actually provide current to the A/C clutch? Could the clutch be going? Any direction would be appreciated.
