Get your parts from sobstory, board advertiser, and check http://www.twinsaabs.com, Jeff and Royce's outstanding DIY pictorials. View the CV joint repair pictorial, it touches most of the issues you will encounter. Especially blocking the upper control arm to take the spring out of play.

My advice is to do all four ball joints, tie rod ends, polyurethane lower shock mounts (at least, if not new shocks) and poly sway bar ends. I didn't do the wheel bearings and now I wish I had, its easier once you have everything apart and the hub is in your hand, its probably another $75 in parts maybe and a trip to the machine shop. At a minium do the lower control arm bushings since the car is in the air and everything is apart, thats only six more bolts. Also recommend replacing front and right side motor mounts as they are easily done and they get the most abuse near the exhaust. Driver's side is a bear, but is also away from the heat, so you can cheat on that one. Also, if you CV joints are suspect, do it now and if you do those, then replace the inner drive seals and O rings that may be leaking. Do not reuse the ball joint bolts, they are a one time piece and they stretch/strip, have a large pickle fork on hand for the ball joints and a tie rod puller from a rent a center. Then get a good alignment. An SPG is worth the investment.

Good luck, let us know how you do.
