the stuff inside the wheel well is all important, but the fun begins when you replace the motor mounts and a-arm bushings.
I can't stress enough about doing the drivers side motor mount along with the other two. In my case the passenger side bushings & motor mount had already been replaced. So when I got into the drivers side I was not too surprised to see the mount in two pieces. No heat affects, no oil affects, just plain old age. I could not see this until it was in my grubby little hand either..... The a-arm bushings seem to take more abuse, but while your in there do them all.
The drivers side mount & bushings are easy to get to IF you:
take out the alt, brake master cylinder, rad. res. and oil filter. You will spend 10X time on the drivers side verses the EASY passenger side. I just did this over the last two nights.
I used two appropriately sized sockets and my bench vise to get the a-arm bushings in/out.
Good luck,
Ed S
