On a sunday drive in my 1994 C900TC I hit a MASSIVE pothole about a week ago in a contruction zone. I was doing about 45 and I'd swear I heard some metal scrape. Maybe I was cringing as the CD player skipped, but I was worried. Well, no fluids leak, the car runs straight and true, and all seems well.
Fast forward a week. I take the car for a 500 mile road trip, mostly highways and fast country roads. I noticed that over 45 or 50 that the wheel/car shakes a little when I press on the brakes. It is much less pronouned at city speeds (less than 35), but I still feel it because I'm focused on the problem.
I'll be underneath tonight looking for anything. Any guesses? Bent rim(s)? Bad alignment? Warped rotor?
The bummer is that I just did tie rod end and 2 ball joints about a month ago, then had it aligned.
I have to get the car tip top though. It's going 600 miles this weekend, and then about 3000 over the 2nd week in september.
