To check the brakes for warped rotors, you could wash your car, making sure to get the brake rotors wet. Within an hour there will be rust on them. This is normal. Now get the car moving and gently brake. If the rotors are perfectly round, the rust will be scraped off evenly by the pads. If some spots are clean and others rusty, the rotors is probably warped. This would be my first guess, but I can't be sure not seeing the car.
If you bent a front wheel, it might be felt more on deceleration since there is a weight transfer to the front when you brake. You'd have to move swap a front wheel with a back wheel and see if that fixes it. Slightly bent wheels are less noticable on the back compared to the front. A big pothole could have also damaged a tire. Look for a bulge in the tire where the rubber layer might have lifted away from the cords inside it. A bent wheel will also cause some minor vibration feedback through the steering wheel to your hands.
