That it my biggest worry. Getting inside the inner and not finding whats broken with the speedo drive.
I have replaced the cable, made sure it was on right again, and driven around with it sticking up out of the speaker hole, so I know it is inside somewhere.
So far on this car I have replaced the wiper assembly, heater valve, rear brake pads, full tune up, thermo, thermo switch, done some wiring, installed stereo, and rubbed the paint out many times.
I know I could do it but I really dont have the greatest place to work on it for a long period. A couple days might be cool, but longer than that might be a problem. I live in an apartment.
I am going to call Mr Wong, the mobile SAAB repair guy here in L.A. and see what he thinks, get a quote, and figure it out from there.
