Worth the effort? Would appreciate any opinions...

I have a 1991 900, 180,000 miles. I use it to commute 70 miles round trip each day. I am the original owner. The car runs like a scalded dog, no kidding; however, my list of things that need to be done is getting longer: new brakes (probably at least 2 new calipers, plus probably rotors), new windshield, new headliner, front seat is hurting (I have worn through the foam to the metal in the seat - sort of uncomfortable), new shocks, and tires, soon. Oh, and the paint is bad, but no rust. OK, I realize some of this is wear and tear - I have been keeping the car up for 11 years. The engine runs great, and I get AT LEAST 28 miles to the gallon, usually running 75-85 mph on the highway (with traffic, coppers).
The question I pose to you knowledgeable is: Is it worth the money to fix, at this age? I could take the 1500-2500 dollars all told it will probably take to do this and put it into a new car, or a new used car.
Your thoughts?
Thanks, people.
