I'm sure you know that for a power hungry sound system to perform adequately, it needs direct connections to the battery plus solid grounding all around. Then there's good speaker wires. My system? Well, it's a hodgepodge of various components and speakers: Blaupunkt 2 way 4" up front, coupled with a set of Infinity 8" woofers custom mounted under the rear seat foot wells - that group powered by a 200 watt Kenwood. Then for the rear deck there's a pair of Polk 10" woofers and a set of SAAB 9000 tweeters powered by a 500 watt amp, plus a Sony Xplode 12" subwoofer set in the center of the deck powered by a 300 watt sub amp. Pioneer DEH 2300 radio/CD head unit. The system is very clean, although at times I can tell the 12" sub is underpowered. I'm about to build a box around the back of the 12", so perhaps that solves that problem.
