Well, maybe not rebuild, but theres a problem in 1st - 2nd with my transmission. Its really tough to change gears. My mechanic said the transmission is going to have to be opened up to be fixed.
So... my question is, while he has it out and is working on it, should I have him put all new parts in? Like synchros, bushings, bearings, etc...? To me this makes the most sense, but I don't know if thats an additional job in itself.
Would this be alot more work for him? More work for him = more labor charges = more of my money.
I'd really hate to see my Saab go, but in the event of it needing a new transmission down the road, I don't think I can shell out $1500 on a 11 year old car. Any input is appriciated as always,
-Chris
