Wow, thanks for the immediate help, guys!
I'm gonna give it another shot tonight when I get home from work.
I actually *bent* a few weak tools trying to pry it out last night, it is in there pretty darn good. Also, as some guessed, the lip is pretty much ruined at this point.
I think I'll try the heat method, maybe I can burn it out. :D (j/k) A propane torch can sure come in handy at times. And if that doesn't work, I'll have a go at it with the dremel. Looks like I'm gonna have to buy a right-angle drive for the dremel though I think, there doesn't seem to be enough room to go in there without one.
Here's a related question for everyone - Are you supposed to be able to actually *remove* that shaft from the car? I can't remove mine - If I pull it out of the front of the tranny case, it hits the radiator before it has enough clearance to come out of the tranny. I can pull it back that way enough so that it isn't in the way of these various removal attempts, but I can't get it all the way out. I guess it's not important though, I was just curious. . .
