I replaced the hooter, several nipples and spent the day sucking on hoses. They all checked out (still need to check behind the dash upper).

Still a high idle, although at 1200, down from 14-1600.

I tested the NTC, resistance seems within specs (about 100 outside, 980 ohms). AIC is powered and resistance w/in specs. The TPS, however, is a problem. No continuity. I looked at the throttle plate and it does not close 100%, seems apoen about 1/32 of an inch.

I tried to adjust the TPS, could NOT GET ANY TOOL I OWN on the 7mm bolts! Needle nose locking, ratchet, open ended, etc . . . No bones, not enough room. I'm thinking that the throttle stop screw was "adjusted" over the years and should be eased out.

I guess this is a long way of asking if the throttle plate should be 100% closed. If so, I'll move the throttle stop screw back until I get continuity in the TPS, then asjust the TPS when I figure out how to get a wrench on the bolts!
