In an estimated 7-10,000 mi, I'll need to put new front pads in. I've seen it done several times and have new rotors put in last change (and the brakes don't feel warped at all), so I think a plain brake pad change is all that's needed. I plan to do it myself.
I was planning to use Textars that also come with the spare calibre bolt that the Bentley manual says one should not reuse.
1) How serious is it to use non-Textars and reuse the bolt? (not what I'm planning).
2) The other guy asked about other makes of brake pads.
3) The owner's manual says to check the brakes and not rely on the feel. From my experience, you can tell if you have a sensitive foot that the pads are wearing when the pads have a few thousand miles left on them. I don't think I'm crazy.
