In fact, that is one big reason that EFI engines last so much longer than their carbeuretted cousins. Precise fuel control. The AIC will reduce airflow and the NTC will tell the LH ECU to enrichen the mixture (Functions like a choke, but more precise). The LH 2.2 is more susceptible to the AMM being out of sorts which is the biggest driver on cold start engine control. First, repair all vacuum leaks, clean and lube the AIC, If it still has a problem with cold start, try a different AMM or adjust teh one you have. One last resort is 'fooling' the LH by an extra resistor with the NTC (temp sensor)
