My 84T was doing the same thing a while back. I replaced the rad. cap, the thermostat, the fan switch, and it was still running warm, if not hot sometimes. Then I found an almost broken wire going to the fan switch. I clipped it and stripped the wires back, then used electrical tape to patch it back up. well, it worked fine for a while, then started to do the same thing again. I even replaced the fan relay ($65!) to no relief. Then I figured why not fix the fan switch wire right, with either solder or a butt connector. Guess what? As soon as I did that, everything is working fine! It runs a little bit above half on long distance up hill climbs ( probably timing, rad. or dirty injectors ) but around town (LOs Angeles) it has been fine.
Good luck,
Todd
