Download instructions from Pat Price (FAQ), and buy the Saab factory manual for convertibles, read both over very well.
Make sure the top of the rear window opening is the right height before stapling, (you don't need an electric, a good manual stapler works just fine) use stainless staples, and be aware you'll probably have to recut the back sides in the little rise where the fabric goes over the metal edge by the back window to make it pull down properly (you'll see what this means once you get into the job). If you look at labor costs, you can throw one new top away, buy a second one, and still save money over an upholstry shop.
