I was in the auto store the other day and saw that now they sell blue neon bulbs in fixtures. I got a set of tiny "projector" units and since both my dash bulbs are out and the things are so damm dim anyway, i set the little lights on the outside of the clear lense and pointed them at the guages. HOLY CRAP it was awsum. I had to plug it into the cig lighter but it was spectaculer how they looked in blue. Soooooooooooo I went back and found that they made a set in a fixture that is to be used like a side marker on a cars fender. They looked kinda like a wide 3/4" * 1.25" with two lamps in each pointing to the side/foward. So what im going to do is pull the dash and guages. I have done this befor.
then Im going to remove the blinders where the orig. light lense (green) is and glue these in its place. Your shouldnt be able to see it when its all back to gether. Then I will wire it to the light circut behind the guages and Im sure I will have not only a bright dash for once but a spectaculer one. You can get the lamps in green if you want to keep an original feel but I love the blue. I cant resisnt. Thats my thoughts.
